The modern designer façade of this superbly designed building houses a very special set of historic bells from London, gifted to Western Australia for their 1988 Bicentenary. The Bell Tower attraction was opened in 2000 as part of Western Australia’s millennium project and accommodates the twelve ancient bells from the famous London Church of St Martin-in-the-Fields.

These special bells are known to have been in existence since before the 14th century. During your visit to this unique Perth attraction you can learn about their fascinating history from an insightful guide and have a go at ringing the bells yourself with and come away with a certificate to say that you have rung a historic bell! This dynamic landmark also features The Bell Tower Observation Deck with incredible 360-degree views of Swan River and the city of Perth with fantastic opportunities for some great photos. The Bell Tower continues to evolve to include new and interesting exhibits and interactive experiences.

You too can take part in living history at one of the world’s largest musical instruments – The Perth Bell Tower.

It was nice sunny and bright day while we made our way to the Bell Tower down at Barrack Square. The Bell Tower design itself looks like a sail boat sorrounded by water and fountains. As you get to the entrance you are welcomed by love locks on both sides of the mini bridge. You are nicely greeted by the reception/cashier and getting our passes for the bell demonstration easy peesy. Our tour guide was informative, cheerful and not short of jokes filling us with tons of laughter. Overall it was a great experience and it was much fun. The viewing decks and all bells (national treasure, really) were equally wonderful.
